$ cat about.md
I’m a full stack software engineer with 11 years of experience designing and owning software across startups and large-scale platforms. For the past 7 years at Disney, I’ve worked across 10+ applications and 30+ microservices, with a particular focus on content discovery, search, and ingestion — the systems that let people find content and that move it through the platform. Along the way I’ve led the backend team on a secure content-preview application from design through delivery.
I work comfortably end to end, from frontend to backend to the data layer, but where I add the most value is in the space between code and architecture: scoping ambiguous problems, deciding where complexity should live, and designing systems that stay reliable as requirements and scale change. I’ve driven technical design across teams, weighed in on build-vs-buy and platform decisions, and mentored other engineers along the way.
After more than a decade in the industry, I’ve learned that good software isn’t about using the newest technology or building the most elaborate system. It’s about making thoughtful tradeoffs, keeping things understandable, and creating something that continues to work well as the people, requirements, and scale around it change.
